Safety isn’t just a requirement on Ferrovial projects—it’s part of who we are. That commitment is earning national recognition. Three of our U.S. and Canada project teams, and Webber, recently brought home major industry awards, reinforcing a simple truth: when you put people first, everyone wins.

Ontario Transit Group: Leading the way in rail safety

Ontario Transit Group (OTG) received three major honors at the inaugural Transit Rail Association for Canadian Contractors, Maintainers, Operators and Standards (TRACCS) Rail Achievement Awards, celebrating its groundbreaking Transforming Safety Together initiative:

  • 1st place – Safety Achievement of the Year in Canadian Rail
  • Commended – Safety Leadership Excellence
  • Commended – Best Safety on a Rail Project

Since launching Transforming Safety Together, OTG has achieved zero lost time incidents across more than 5.4 million work hours—a remarkable milestone for a major rail infrastructure project.

The program goes beyond compliance, empowering every team member to act as a safety leader and making safety a shared responsibility woven into daily work.
