National Work Zone Awareness Week is a time to pause, reflect, and recommit to protecting lives in and around work zones. Across Ferrovial Construction in the U.S., projects, partnerships, and employees came together this year to reinforce the importance of awareness, collaboration, and personal responsibility – both on the job and on the road. The following highlights showcase how teams at Alamo NEX Construction (ANC) and North Tarrant Infrastructure (NTI) marked the week through meaningful, safety‑focused engagement.
North Tarrant Infrastructure: Safety leadership in action
NTI, a joint venture between Ferrovial Construction and Webber, held its Q2 Safety Meeting, welcoming more than 140 team members and partners, including NTE Mobility Partners and the Independent Engineer.
Conducted in both English and Spanish, the meeting reinforced NTI’s commitment to protecting lives in work zones and included recognition awards honoring safety leadership. Leaders reaffirmed the importance of life‑saving controls, measures designed to remain effective when mistakes occur and to eliminate serious hazards at their source, while underscoring that safety is everyone’s responsibility.
