Paying By Axles or Shape and Size of Vehicle
Vehicle classes for the TEXpress Lanes will vary by the project and the corridor. Some TEXpress Lanes in the system will base their pricing on axle counts while others will determine their rates by vehicle shape and size.
Most TEXpress Lanes within the system utilize axle-based toll rates. This means the toll you pay is based on the number of axles on your vehicle.
Paying By Shape and Size of Vehicle
Unlike other North Texas toll roads, toll prices on the LBJ TEXpress Lanes, NTE TEXpress Lanes and NTE 35W TEXpress Lanes vary by the shape and size of the vehicle you drive, not the number of axles. These roadways are the only TEXpress Lanes in the system that do not use axle-based vehicle classifications. For example, motorcycles, cars, SUVs, most vans and pickup trucks pay the same price. Large and extra-large trucks pay a slightly higher toll price on these TEXpress Lanes.
